Youth Arts in Action offers a Ballet Master Class Weekend with Master Teacher Madame Angelina Armeiskaya. Madame Armeiskaya returns to Montana from the Kirov Academy of Ballet. This is a rare opportunity to experience first-hand the legacy of the Russian ballet tradition. Madame Armeiskaya graduated from the prestigious Vaganova Academy of Ballet in St. Petersburg, Russia. She starred as Principal Dancer with the Russian State Ballet and has developed into a widely respected teacher and coach since retiring from the stage. Madame Armeiskaya had the lead role in the Academy Award winning ballet documentary “The Children of Theatre Street,” narrated by Princess Grace of Monaco.

   Youth Arts in Action, a 501c(3) non-profit organization that awards scholarships to outstanding young artists, has invited Madame Armeiskaya to provide this exciting opportunity for dancers from all over Montana. Dancers will not only participate in Master Classes but can also be evaluated by Madame Armeiskaya for scholarships to the Kirov Academy of Ballet Summer Intensive and year-round programs in Washington DC.

   An Afternoon Tea on Sunday March 30th in Bozeman will provide an opportunity for dancers and non-dancers alike to meet and talk with Madame Armeiskaya. Youth Arts in Action will be offering autographed copies of Madame Armeiskaya’s movie, “The Children of Theatre Street” and dance photos from her repertoire.

   Master Classes are open to ballet students 10 and over, of all levels of ability. Dance teachers are invited to register to observe or attend. The first Master Class with Madame Armeiskaya will be held at Carroll College in Helena on Friday March 28th . The Saturday March 29th and Sunday March 30th Master Classes will be held in Bozeman at Harmony Hall in the Emerson Cultural Center. Limited space is available for both the Master Classes and the Afternoon Tea.
