Iana Balova
Demi-Soloist, Staatsballett Berlin
Born in Russia
Trained at the Nuryev Choreographic Institute before leaving home to finish her training at
the Academia Teatro Alla Scala in Milan Italy . She has been a
member of the
Staatsballett Berlin for six years performing such roles as Effie in
La Sylphide,
Auroura in Marchenballet and
Alice in Alice in Wonderland. This was Iana’s
first time visiting the United States as well as her
premiere in the repetoire she
performed.
