Emi Hariyama
Corps de Ballet, Staatsballett Berlin
Born in Japan
Graduated from Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow with the top score
and was the first graduate from outside the Soviet Union. Joined the
Moscow Ballet Theater and the Aalto Ballett Theater in Germany.
Trained at the Russian Ballet Academy in Indiana, studying
with Irina Korupakowa. Invited to the Leningrad State Ballet starring
in Giselle and Swan Lake. Emi has won numerous international
competitions and she was profiled in the Japanese TV
show “Jounetsu-Tairiku” about
successful Japanese artists abroad.
