Rose Vermazen, a homeschooled 16 year old dancer from Davis,
California, has dreamed of dancing at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow since
she heard about the Academy when she was 9. This dream is about to come
true as she was invited this summer to train at the Academy in Moscow and starts
in Fall 2012. |

Odessa Ernst, 14, from New York City, started studying at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy
in the Fall of 2012. Ever since she was a child watching the Nutcracker at New York City Ballet
she knew she wanted to dance. At the age of 8 she started dancing ballet professionally and
knew that she would pursue dance as a career. |

Michael Mengden, 16, from Texas, has been dancing since the age of 8. He attended the NSLI For Youth program in Moscow in the Summer of 2012 and then started training at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in October of 2012.

Clea Korynne Calvin is 12 years old from the "Nation's Oldest City", St. Augustine, Fl. As the youngest American girl headed to Russia this year, Clea is eager to absorb all that the Russian Academy has to offer, new language, new awareness and best of all,

Julian MacKay, 15, from
Montana, in June 2012 became the first American student to be
awarded a 3 year contract to enter the Russian Division upper school at the
Bolshoi Ballet Academy. He started training full time at the Academy in Moscow
in the Fall of 2009 and had his debut dancing with the Bolshoi Company in
La Esmeralda in February 2010. |

Nicholas MacKay,12, from Montana, is the youngest American to train
full time at the Bolshoi
Ballet Academy in
their 236 year history. He auditioned along with the Russian boys in Moscow and started training at the Academy in the Fall of 2010
and is now fluent in Russian..
